A major national organization, along the lines of “United Way,” should be founded that will solicit donations from its members to support a United States Corporate Charity and Philanthropy Program. This group would also search out areas that are suited to be supported by corporate America.

Charities and Philanthropies would be selected on need versus benefit considerations. For example, eradication of malaria worldwide would be accomplished by supporting efforts being taken by our government and the governments of the most affected countries. Corporate contributions could be in the form of financial support or product support (ie companies that produce mosquito netting or shipping from UPS or Federal Express).

In addition to providing quarterly reports, this committee could work with individual or team corporate members to provide support in the most efficient and effective manner.
